I know that there aren’t that many Disney/Pixar films out yet, but because my son is obsessed with Toy Story 3 and Cars, I’ve been watching those films A LOT lately. I think that most people that like these films have their own sort of top 3 at least, and everyone’s list is going to be a bit different.
So here they are – my Top 5 Disney/Pixar Films:
5. Toy Story
Yes, yes, I know that this is the very first Disney/Pixar film. And yes, I know that many people think this is the best of the lot. I agree that it is great, and that since it was the first of its kind, it’s quite revolutionary. But I really feel like the Disney/Pixar crew has gotten better as they’ve gone along. And obviously, since this is only #5 on my list, I think that there are 4 movies that go above and beyond Toy Story. But I enjoyed the sequels as well, especially Toy Story 3.
[Edit: After watching each of the Toy Story films multiple times, I think I'd have to say that, even though Toy Story was the first of its kind, I really enjoy Toy Story 3 the most out of the three films. So number 5 on this list should be Toy Story 3 instead of Toy Story.]

4. WALL-E
I wasn’t really as excited to see this one as some might have been, but when I saw it I really loved it. Since I’m sort of a Science-Fiction nerd (well, okay, I’m a big SF nerd, I admit it), and I really love post-apocalyptic speculative fiction and movies, this movie was right up my alley. I love the multiple messages in the film as well.

I’m not sure why, but I just really really like this movie. I’ve always liked John Goodman and Billy Crystal, so that made it all the more enjoyable for me. I also love the character of Roz, voiced by Bob Peterson, and quote her quite often. One time, after a long day, I was trying to cheer up my cranky son, who was 7 months old at the time, and for some reason I started saying “Mike Wazowski” in Roz’s voice. He couldn’t stop laughing at it! I still try to use it to cheer him up sometimes, but he’s pretty much over it now. I’m excited to see the sequel (prequel?), Monsters University, when it comes out, way far away, in 2013.

2. Ratatouille
I absolutely LOVE this movie. I’ll watch it any time I see it on television. It is actually a very, very close second. I’m not really sure why I love this movie so much. I just do. And I get really hungry every time I watch it. Hmm, I’m getting hungry now, just thinking about it…

1. Finding Nemo
I believe that this was the second Disney/Pixar film that I saw, after Toy Story. I think the fact that I love marine animals helped to make this one a favorite, which is probably also the reason that The Little Mermaid is my all-time favorite animated Disney film. I love Dory, Jacques, Crush and Squirt. And I absolutely love the scene where Dory says she can “speak Whale,” and proceeds to try to communicate with a humpback whale. Ellen DeGeneres keeps joking on her show that she is waiting for a call to make Finding Nemo 2, and I totally agree with her. We need a sequel!
So there they are, my Top 5 Disney/Pixar Films. What are your favorites?

I’m glad you didn’t include Up, I see it on so many “top” Pixar lists, and that just doesn’t make sense to me. I agree with your #1 and #2, and I’d probably say:
1. Finding Nemo: The first one that really looked brilliant to me on the big screen, I just loved the bright colors and storyline.
2. Ratatouille: Great story and fun characters.
3. Toy Story 3: I’m honestly not a fan of the first two. Call me crazy but I thought this one far exceeded them.
4. The Incredibles: This one is in serious need of a sequel. A lot more than the weakest in the Pixar collection “Cars.”
5. Wall-E: If the 2nd half of this film was better it could have been #1 or #2.
